Amherst Securities Group LP currently does NOT collect personally
identifying information via its web site.
Amherst Securities Group LP collects IP addresses
for the purposes of system administration and traffic
monitoring.
An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned
to your computer whenever you are connected to the Internet.
Our Web server automatically identifies your computer
by its IP address.
When you request pages from www.asglp.com or www.amherstsecurities.com,
our server logs your IP addresses. We do not link IP
addresses to anything personally identifiable with
the exception of the portions of the web site that
require you to enter a user name and password. With
the exception of the password protected areas, this
means that your session will be logged, but you remain
anonymous to us.
If you are a registered user and you use our online
fixed-income analytical softare, it is sometimes necessary
to read and write to your hard drive. In order to use
this software, you would have signed up with your Amherst
representative via phone, mail or email. You would
have been assigned a user name and a password. You
would have to install WinFrame software that we sent
you or that you downloaded from our web site.
When you run the Amherst programs, the system will
attempt to create a c:\SPIRES and/or C:\ASG sub-directory on your
hard drive. It is within this sub-directory that the
Amherst programs will allow you to save any custom
files you create on our system. If you run the web
version of our software, you will be prompted to give
our programs permission to access your hard drive.
If you do not give your permission, the programs will
still work, but you will not be able to save and then
later re-load custom files such as Bond Scan Queries.
Amherst Securities Group LP does not read or write
any other data to your hard drive.
Cookies are pieces of information that our server transfers
to your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies
make Web-surfing easier for you by saving your passwords
and preferences while you're at our site. The use
of cookies is an industry standard -- you'll find
them at most major Web sites.
By showing how and when you use our site, cookies help
us see which areas are popular and which are not. Many
improvements and updates to the site are based on such
data as total number of visitors and pages viewed.
This information is most easily tracked with cookies.
Amherst Securities Group LP never uses cookies
to retrieve information from your computer that was
not originally sent in a cookie. Amherst Securities Group LP does not use information transferred through
cookies for any promotional or marketing purposes,
nor is that information shared with any third parties
whatsoever.
Amherst Securities Group LP does not use cookies
to identify specific individuals with the exception
of the password protected areas.
You may occasionally get cookies from our advertisers
or other content providers. Amherst Securities Group LP does not control these cookies, and these cookies
are not subject to the www.asglp.com or www.amherstsecurities.com
cookies policy. The use of advertising cookies sent
by third-party servers is standard in the Internet
industry.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies.
If you'd prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies
or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However,
it is possible that some parts of the site, like the
shopping areas, will not function properly if you do
so.
By using this site, you signify your assent to the
Amherst Securities Group Internet Privacy Policy. If
you do not agree to this policy, please do not use
the site. We reserve the right, at our discretion,
to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this
policy at any time. Please check this page periodically
for changes. Your continued use of www.asglp.com or
www.amherstsecurities.com following the posting of
changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
You can send email to us with any further questions.
